Position Summary: | The Multifunctional Structures and Materials Group (MFSM) that is part of the Structural Materials (SM) Division in the University of Dayton Research Institute. UDRI is seeking a highly motivated and highly talented engineer to perform research in the area of multifunctional structures and materials. This position will be in charge of performing all aspects of carbon/carbon (C/C) composite and ceramic matrix composite (CMC) conventional design and fabrication, and innovation. The engineer will perform highly multidisciplinary research in developing new and conventional structures, materials, and manufacturing methods. The engineer will also be tasked with operating and maintaining laboratory equipment, building testing apparatuses, preparing reports and presentations, and purchasing required materials, equipment, and supplies. Additionally, the engineer will help build UDRI business through proposal writing and selling growing capabilities to prospective customers. |
