Responsibilities:

The technical lead for the Hot Section Engineering (HSE) Ceramic Matrix Composite (CMC) development team will oversee the integration of design, structures, durability, and other activity requirements within the product development team. You will model the underlying physics for each discipline, and lead the development of analytical criteria and standard work for the application of CMC in Hot Section components.

You will bring proven expertise in thermal and structural analysis of composite structures, non-linear static and dynamic analysis, and damage tolerance analysis. This multidisciplinary team is responsible for developing state-of-the-art pre-processing, meshing, and analysis strategies to enable broad design space exploration for the study of various CMC designs and architectures.

 

Education/Certifications:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Materials Engineering/Science required. Similar fields also considered.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Materials Engineering/Science required. Similar fields also considered.
  • 7+ years of experience in engineering disciplines of design, structures, composites, or durability
  • US Citizenship required due to government contracts

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Ceramic Matrix Composite materials
  • 10+ years of experience in design, structures, composites, or durability
  • Experience with continuous improvement tools such as ACE or Six Sigma
  • Strong leadership skills to enable transformation within the organization
