Robert (Bob) Licht is Director, Export Control Compliance & Government Programs, Saint-Gobain North America. Bob provides support to all businesses of Saint-Gobain working on Federal Government programs, including: new business development; proposal preparation; teaming arrangements; subcontracting; program management; and contract compliance. He is a past Chairman of the United States Advanced Ceramics Association (USACA). Bob directs Saint-Gobain North America Export Management & Compliance Programs and Technology Control Plans, obtains export licenses, and provides training in EAR, ITAR, and OFAC regulations. He is the company’s Empowered Official for the State Department Directorate of Defense Trade Controls.
Mr. Licht has been with Saint-Gobain and Norton Company for 38 years. Prior to his current position, he was the Manager of Prototype and Development Operations for Norton’s High Performance Ceramics Division, and Research Supervisor in the Grinding Wheel Division. Before joining Norton, Mr. Licht was a Member of the Technical Staff at GTE Laboratories. He has an M.S. in Ceramic Science from Penn State University and a B.S. in Ceramic Engineering from Rutgers University.
