Hybrid Plastics

Hybrid Plastics, Inc. began from earlier work in the field when Dr. Lichtenhan was awarded a contract in the early 1990s to study the POSS materials in aerospace industry. The company was created from this earlier research with the focus on understanding the chemistry and material science of the POSS materials. From the early start in California to purchasing and refitting a facility in Mississippi for manufacturing, the sole focus of the company has been to advance the POSS chemicals into every aspect of various materials including plastics, coatings, and composites. Hybrid has been named one of the top nanotechnology companies in the United States with the specific interest in the POSS nanotechnology characteristics.
