Engi-Mat

Engi-Mat is a private, domestic developer and manufacturer of nano engineered materials with a 28-year history of technical innovation. We use our proprietary Nanomiser® systems to produce dozens of materials – typically complex metal oxides, optical ceramics, or precious metals with an average particle size below 100 nanometers. We ship in volume directly to diverse manufacturers with applications that include key defense systems, batteries, sensors, fuel cells, superconductor materials for high field magnets, and many others. Additionally, our products are the cornerstone of the nanomaterials offerings of the Sigma Aldrich catalog. Engi-Mat is ISO 9001 certified for the design and production of high-performance powders. With technical capabilities developed with SBIR funding from the Department of Defense and the Department of Energy, Engi-Mat’s experienced management team is focused on scaling powder production to meet its customers’ challenging materials requirements.
